SilverCloud: Supporting a Child with ADHD

This new course has been designed for parents and carers looking after young children – aged from 6 to 12 – who have been diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), or are waiting for an assessment.

The friendly online program will teach you all about ADHD, and the different diagnosis journeys. You will learn skills including how to stay organised, how to help children with difficult feelings, and how families can work together to support each other. Throughout the course, you will be able to explore both the challenges of ADHD — and the strengths.

SilverCloud: Supporting an Anxious Child

This course is designed for parents and carers of children aged 4 to 11. It will help you support young children to deal with anxious thoughts and feelings, and to help them face their fears — perhaps the most important thing any of us can do in terms of tackling anxiety.

As you progress, you will learn lots more about the unhelpful patterns we can all fall into — wee ones and adults alike! At the same time, you will be helping your children learn new skills they can put into practice day by day. There are activities, quizzes and lots of helpful things to try with your children, including relaxation and building self-esteem. All of this is rooted in high-quality psychological approaches which are powerful yet kind.

SilverCloud: Supporting an Anxious Teen

Teenage years are a time of change and challenge, and as adults it can feel hard to help. This comprehensive, easy-to-follow course is for parents and carers of young people aged 12 to 18. It is designed to teach both you and them new skills and strategies, and to build your confidence together.

You will learn about different ways of looking at anxiety; about how to help young people understand their complex feelings; and about how to empower them to deal with common difficulties such as worry and low self-esteem. This includes exploring new ways to talk to your teens about what they are going through, and to help them learn problem-solving skills they can use now and in future.
