Collection and use of technical information

We make no attempt to identify individual users from technical information. If you are a user with general public access, a number called your IP address is logged by the Mind Matters website, which is automatically recognised by the system. Technical details in connection with visits to this website are logged, collected and utilised by our website host, Scotland’s Health on the Web (SHOW). Log files are maintained and analysed of all requests for files on SHOW servers. Aggregated analyses of these log files are used to monitor website usage. These are used to help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SHOW websites. All log file information collected is kept secure and is not provided to any third parties.

Collection and use of personal information

The system will record personal information if you apply for services that require personal information – e.g. registering for a course or class – and you enter that information into the Lanarkshire Mind Matters website when invited to. The information stored would be your name, address, phone number, ethnicity, email address and details of your GP. This information will be used solely by NHS Lanarkshire for the purpose of processing your request, and will not be held on the server for any longer than it takes to allocate you to the course or class you have requested. For more information, see NHS Lanarkshire policies, below.
